NEW Word Study Games and a FLASH Giveaway!

I've gotten SEVERAL requests for more word study games and I've been working on them slowly but surely. When I started making these, I started in the middle with the Within Words patterns because that was where my kids were working at the time. My plan is to have all the easier, Letter Name patterns finished before school starts again. I just posted short vowel games for Lessons 21a - 22b HERE! I think these are definitely my best games to date. Check it out!

I LOVE this game! Go to the circus with the characters of Madagascar 3...

This one was my students' FAVORITE this past year. They asked to play it for weeks on end! Gotta love Spongebob! (My favorite episode is when Spongebob goes to driving school).

It's a game based on everyone's favorite plumber... MARIO

This one doesn't really have a character theme. I guess I could have stretched the Care Bears angle but I'm not sure kids care/know about Care Bears anymore.

FLASH Giveaway!
Would you like to WIN this new set? Leave a comment telling me what themes you'd like to see in future word study games and your email address. I'll randomly select a few winners (haven't decided how many yet, at least 3 maybe more) in a few days (haven't decided this yet either, possibly Friday?) and send it your way!

  1. Our school uses WTW too so these would be perfect! Of course I love chevron but I think other character themes such as monkeys or ocean, etc. would be cute too!

  3. How about a safari theme or Hollywood theme? I like the sorting aspect of your games- another way to have the kids practice those patterns.

  4. Your games are great. I know my kids would love them, do you have any for other Words Their Way Levels? I teach third grade and the kids really love games. The Words Their Way text gives some examples, but they are rather plain, especially at the Derivational Relations stages.

    1. I don't unfortunately. The highest I've got right now it to the end of the Within Words stage. And right now I'm focusing on finishing up the Letter Name stage games. I may get to those levels but not anytime soon.
